One person was killed and another wounded Sunday in a shooting in Chatham on the South Side.
A 33-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were among a group of people just before 2 a.m. in the 7500 block of South Saint Lawrence when someone opened fire, Chicago Police said.
The man was shot in the chest and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he died, police said. He has not yet been identified.
The woman was shot in the leg and was also taken to University of Chicago where her condition was stabilized, police said.
No one was in custody.
