Six people were injured, two critically in a fire that broke out in a home early Sunday in Gresham on the South Side.
About 5 a.m., firefighters responded to a blaze at a home in the 8600 block of South Hermitage Avenue and rescued six people, the Chicago Fire Department said.
Two adults were listed in “extremely critical” condition and were transported to Little Company of Mary Hospital for treatment, fire officials said.
No smoke detectors were heard in the home, according to fire officials.
