Chicago’s Art and Beer Scene
A Pipeworks Quarantine Mission
Can we all agree that beer and memes of Lori Lightfoot are saving us at the moment? I’m on a mission to see how many beers I can drink from Pipework Brewing during the Corona Virus quarantine. Thank the beer gods for liquor stores and curbside pick-up.
Their beer is so damn good!
Pipeworks brews beer that is unique, highly flavorful, and heavy on the stouts with labels that are a work of art. I keep some of these artsy cans to put faux air plants in.
What I have had so far —
In the past couple of weeks, I have managed to drink five impeccable beers (four stouts and one quad). This is an easy and delicious challenge since Pipeworks is a top choice for me. I prefer individual cans, especially now, so that I have a variety on hand.
No need to get out of your car
You can show the brewery some love during this difficult time, as they are offering curbside pick-up. It’s as easy as one, two, three.
- Preorder the beer at 312-841-7574
- Pull into their parking lot
- Pop your trunk and you are good to go
Curbside pick-up is available Monday through Friday from 12:00-7:00 and Saturday from 11:00-5:00. It wouldn’t hurt to give them a call or check their Facebook page for updates depending on your travel time. On the other hand, most of us have spare time available, so I suggest living on the edge.
I will add to this post and re-publish all the beers I have had once the quarantine has been lifted. In the meantime, share some of your favorite Pipeworks beer.

My greatest passion is street art. I’m constantly pounding the pavement in search of murals with eyes wide open, so follow me on my colorful journey. View all my findings on Instagram @sherlovesstreetart.
Another passion is beer. I consider myself a beer snob with a preference given to stouts and porters. I’m always willing to try new styles because beer is life. Prost!
