Big Mamas Kitchen and Catering
Local Business Series:
Hey Robin! Thank you for allowing us to get to know more about Big Mamas Kitchen and Catering.
Please start by introducing yourself , then tell us what your company is about?
We are a catering company that provides food truck vending.
What types of services do you specialize in?
We specialize in Catering, food truck vending and pop-ups!
Awesome! What do you love most about your career as a caterer?
I love meeting people and providing quality service that puts a smile on a clients face.
I love that. I’ve had your catering many times and it definitely puts a smile on my face. Ive also had your amazing jerk sauce. Tell people where they can find it?
You can find our jerk sauce at Fairplay Foods 5 locations 8700 S Cicero, 47th Halsted, 111th right off Western, 2200 S Western ave., 159th Markham IL.
That’s great! What would you say makes your catering experience stand out from other companies?
We know that our dishes are unique and our service are top notch!
I would definitely have to agree with that. Let’s shift gears a little bit. You’ve built a successful catering company despite the struggles that entrepreneurship can bring. Has there been any obstacles along the way?
We’ve had many financial struggles but with the assistance of God AND a powerful circle of like-minded people we are able to sustain…(barely)lol
Yes, you got that right. What advice would you give someone else looking to start their own catering business but don’t know where to start?
Start with your local government. Educate yourself on ALL guidelines, take the classes they offer and ASK QUESTIONS.
That’s great advice! Since Food is your expertise, you know that many including myself struggle with eating healthy. Can you give us a few healthy tips?
Start with water…drink plenty of it. Detox if you haven’t. Remove those toxins from your body, you will feel different I guarantee. If you have poor eating habits like myself start slow. Jumping right in will sometimes cause one to fail, baby steps guys.
Awesome I’ll definitely implement that. Now Before I let you go you gotta give us a Lookclusive! What can we expect from your company this year?
We’ve just partnered with a company called Fooda, so look for the Big Mama’s Kitchen DOWNTOWN CHICAGO TAKE OVER. We will be popping up and showing out… Make sure you come eat with US.Thank you so much Robin it has been a pleasure. How can people find you and or book catering services with you?
