Broncos performance vs Chiefs is ugly for Chicago Bears fanson December 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm

Later that night, those of us who just love football and watch the entire league were subjected to Sunday Night Football between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. Of course, we already know how disgusting it is that the Bears left Patrick Mahomes there for the Chiefs in favor of Mitchell Trubisky. That wasn’t even, however, the most disgusting part about the game.

Of course, Mahomes played well enough to win the football game but it wasn’t the best game he’s ever played. He still made some of those spectacular plays that we are used to seeing him make but the Broncos, all things considered, did a good job containing him. They aren’t that great of a football team right now but they have a lot of heart, especially on defense.

Well, their head coach is Vic Fangio after all. He was the Bears’ defensive coordinator from 2015-2018 and he was awesome. The defense was so good in 2018 as they had all-time great takeaway numbers. They have schemed so well when he was there and it has been a significant downgrade since Chuck Pagano came in. Pagano hasn’t been awful but things just haven’t been the same since Fangio left.

That Broncos defense was clearly playing well under him and he didn’t even have Von Miller who is one of the greatest of all time. They could be good in the coming years if they can figure out a way to improve their offense. It was tough to watch them play so well under Fangio right after watching the Bears defense break against the Detroit Lions. Even when the Bears are done for the day, there are things out there that just make you even more upset about how things have gone.
