Chicago Bears: Jalen Reagor a missing piece for the offense?on April 15, 2020 at 4:00 pm

While Mahomes is the engine that makes the offense go, Tyreek Hill is the game-changing wide receiver, that opens up everything for the rest of the skill positions on that side of the ball. There’s no receiver like him in the league. His speed is almost “video game-like” the way he effortlessly blows past cornerbacks downfield. If not that, he’s feasting on short-to-intermediate routes when corners play off him.

Hill is the type of talent that is tough to find a duplicate of. However, the Bears could still find just as good of a playmaker at that position in the 2020 draft. TCU’s Jalen Reagor has that type of potential to be one of the league’s next dangerous weapons.

Speed and explosiveness are two traits you notice when you watch his highlights. When he’s on the field, defensive coordinators take notice. Even with the attention he seeks, that doesn’t stop Reagor from making big plays all over the field.

Even at 5-11 206 pounds, Reagor plays bigger than his listed size. He’s a pure athlete at the position that can go up and high point the ball over defenders.

In the Bears’ offense, Reagor would be a welcome complement to Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller. Nagy for two years has been searching for that explosive big-play threat. A guy that can score on any given play or simply open up more opportunities for other wide receivers to make plays.

There’s no certainty that Reagor will be there when the Bears make their first selection in the second round of the draft. However, if he just happens to be there at that spot, General Manager Ryan Pace shouldn’t hesitate to make him the selection.
