When people think of the Chicago Bears 2021 offseason, they think of a quarterback.
Mitchell Trubisky is a free agent that is not coming back and Nick Foles isn’t good enough. There have been rumors involving other quarterbacks from other organizations coming to the Bears like Carson Wentz and Matthew Stafford.
Well, to be honest, the quarterback that is going to be their long term guy is most likely not out there right now. However, they can take a step in building an offensive line this offseason.
The Chicago Bears should take a look at Orlando Brown of the Baltimore Ravens.
Orlando Brown of the Baltimore Ravens sounds like he is available. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has reported that he wants to be traded. The reason that he wants to be traded is that he believes that he is a left tackle. The Baltimore Ravens can’t provide him that request because of the fact that they have Ronnie Stanley.
Stanley missed a good portion of the season because of an injury. Brown played in that left tackle spot and was brilliant but he would be moved away from that spot when Stanley is healthy. The Ravens have a lot invested in him so Brown feels like the odd man out.
The left tackle is one of the most important positions on a football field and the Bears need one really badly. There are a few holes on the offense for Chicago but filling in that left tackle would go a long way. He has been a two-time Pro Bowler, so you know he would benefit this team greatly.
If the Bears acquired a player like this and got him signed long term, they would be set there for a while. One thing to keep in mind is that 2021 is the last year of his contract before free agency so the trade might not be that much. These are three trades that might get it done:
