I actually have all these events ready to post at my usual time. There are dozens of Black Wednesday tappings for barrel-aged stouts, and not just the expected Bourbon County Stouts. Just a few notes:

Many of the Black Wednesday and Friday events were from Goose island’s website, and did not mention times. I did not want to presume to put in the places’ regular hours, since many of them would be opening early, especially on Friday.I hastily went through my repeating listings for Thursday events that fall on Thanksgiving, and tried to confirm that they were still scheduled, meaning those establishments were open that day. I’d definitely recommend contacting any place you might care to visit on Turkey Day to make sure they’re ready to serve.My listing for Black Friday are pretty complete. You can see them now on my Beeronaut Calendar app, which is in eternal beta. Just go to this link and enter the dates you want to see events for. I’ve put all the Barrel-Aged beer events I could find, and will be filling in other weekend stuff as i find them. Some of these events you WILL want to register in advance for.

Alright y’all here is the moment many of you’ve been waiting for… the Goose Island 2021 Bourbon County Stout Release run down!
DRAFT: Since we didn’t get to celebrate last year, starting Mon. 11/22, we will tap two BCBS kegs each day, Mon. through Wed., to remain on tap until they run out. Tappings include 2020 Regular, Caramella, Special #4, Kentucky Fog, 2020 Prop, and another vintage BCBS variant TBA.
BOTTLES: To be sure you have a chance of a getting your hands on this year’s Bourbon County Stout, please stop by the store now through Sun. 11/28 to enter the raffle (curbside sign-ups available via QR code). The name on the form MUST match your I.D. when picking up your winning lot (NO PROXIES). Please do not sign up if you will not be able to pick up.
This year’s raffle will vary slightly from previous years so please keep reading! This year, we will have a few different predetermined “lots” and you’ll be able to select the ones that interest you when signing up for the raffle. We will then pull winners for the lots in the order listed, one lot per winner. Winners will be notified by email and sent an electronic invoice that should be paid prior to pickup. Please note that the allocation must be taken in full or forfeited entirely. One entry per person, duplicates will be thrown out.
If chosen, your allocations will be available for pickup from Thurs. 12/2 through Sun. 12/5. Pickup MUST be done on one of these four days and will not be held past that date (so if you’re gonna be gone that weekend, don’t enter). Bottles that aren’t picked up by those who claimed them, will then be made available to the general public at a time TBD.

2021 OG BA Sleepy Bear: Imperial Stout Aged in a Blend of Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels – 13.2%. Our original classic take for our Sleepy Bear lineup!
2021 Double Barrel Sleepy Bear: Imperial stout aged in Buffalo Trace and finished in W.L. Weller barrels – 15.8%. Huge smooth bourbon notes blend perfectly with the addition of cacao nibs and vanilla. 2021 Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beer GOLD MEDAL WINNER!
2021 Triple Barrel Sleepy Bear: Imperial stout aged in Buffalo Trace, then W.L. Weller and finished in VSOP brandy barrels – 15.1%. This is one incredible beer! Our first time releasing a triple barrel aged variant of Sleepy Bear. This was then finished with cacao nibs and vanilla. Rich, decadent and complex notes of bourbon and brandy make this beer one to be shared with your closest of friends.
2021 BA Coffee Vanilla Sleepy Bear: Imperial stout aged in Blanton’s barrels – 13.2% We took a select run of Blanton’s bourbon barrels and blended them to create this variant. Utilizing our buddies at Ten Drops coffee we had them custom roast super rich and chocolaty beans from Chiapas, Mexico. Between resting on those and the copious addition of vanilla this is one hell of a awesome variant to this years lineup.
2021 Double Barrel Maple Praline Sleepy Bear: Imperial stout aged in Buffalo Trace and finished in W.L. Weller Barrels – 15.8%. The name says it all!! We took this years Double Barrel to the next level. It’s as if stacks of chocolate chip pancakes drenched in maple syrup tangoed with vanilla swirl ice cream and crushed pecans. We’re super excited about this addition to the releases this year!

Please note this is a 21+ event every other Thursday however if you are and LGBTQ+ youth or young adult looking for support in your life please know we offer a weekly support and discussion group called OUTspoken Online and we also offer a sober space specifically for the LGBTQ+ on Saturday mornings called Coffee Chat!
OUTspoken Leaders is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving, empowering, and amplifying the voices of the LGBTQ+ community. We offer social and service programs that promote self-acceptance, intentional compassion, and unconditional leadership!
