On Thursday, some of the league’s best players were in Chicago for media. Fleury was a Chicago Blackhawks representative which means we got to see him in that seater for the first time and he looked great. A lot of people look great in that jersey but Fleury looks outstanding. It is so exciting to have a legend like that on the hometown team.

When Fleury suits up with the Chicago Blackhawks, it will be his third NHL team. Of course, he as with the Vegas Golden Knights but his three Stanley Cup championships came as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. It has been a remarkable career for him so far and a lot of winning has followed him. The Blackhawks are hoping that trend continues.

The Chicago Blackhawks are going to be very good with Marc-Andre Fleury in the net.

Fleury is going to be a big part of what the Blackhawks do this season. He is going to be a big part of helping Kevin Lankinen develop. Lankinen was brilliant in 2020-21 but he fell off just a bit towards the end. Fleury is capable of helping him take that next step towards being a number one for an entire year.

Fleury will get a majority of the starts (you would think) but it is a very important year in the career of Lankinen. They want to make sure that he gets some games as well and having Fleury there to help him will be great. Throughout Fleury’s career, we have seen him be a part of some very successful goaltending pairs. Hopefully, this is the next one because the Hawks could be a very good team if it is.
