With the fourth overall pick this year, the Chicago Bulls need to be cautious when making their selection.
Well, what can I say? Thank God the Chicago Bulls didn’t end up with the seventh pick.
The Karnisovas-Eversley era began with a bang as the Bulls jumped up three picks at Thursday’s draft lottery from their initial spot at number seven. The delight from fans in the Windy City was just as much about not picking in the seven-spot again as it was moving up three spaces, after falling from four to seven last year.
For as great as it felt to get a win in the lottery, the Bulls drafting situation just got so much more complicated. Failing to get one of the top three picks means Karnisovas will have to be extra careful.
It doesn’t help that the coronavirus pandemic put a pause on basketball in the world for several months, so full scouting in the United States and elsewhere was halted abruptly.
