With no NCAA Tournament, the Chicago Bulls miss out on seeing these particular draft prospects thrive on the biggest collegiate stage.
Right about now, we would have been talking about this year’s Sweet Sixteen matchups in the 2020 NCAA Tournament. But, like the NBA season, the college season was cut short. Ultimately, March Madness was canceled altogether due to the coronavirus outbreak. Typically, the tournament is a bright spot for Chicago Bulls fans, too.
In recent years, the Bulls have been laughable at best. When the tournament comes around, things get a little more exciting, as fans get to check out some of their favorite draft prospects hitting the biggest stage in college basketball.
This year has been different all around. In both the NBA and college basketball, there was a lot more parity. Competition was wide open, for the most part. In the college ranks, we saw plenty of surprise teams crack the top 25 and enjoy some of their best seasons in school history.
Like the NCAA, the NBA saw a lot of competition in both conferences, and the playoffs were shaping up to be something special. For the Bulls, obviously, there were no playoffs in sight.
Bulls fans have been on to the offseason for a while now, even before the season was suspended. Most fans are concentrated on the folks above, like replacing Gar Forman and wishing the organization would rid themselves of John Paxson as well. Of course, we all want to see Jim Boylen replaced, too.

But, right now we just have the offseason to look forward to, whether or not the regular season re-opens. Whenever the draft happens to take place, the Bulls could end up picking at no.7 overall for a fourth straight year, depending on the lottery (current odds say pick seven).
Who would they select in a much weaker class? March Madness certainly would have helped that decision. There are four guys in particular I would have liked to see take the stage in this year’s tournament, and all four would have been able to solidify their draft stock.
