ESPN put the spotlight back on the 1990s Chicago Bulls with the smash hit docuseries “The Last Dance”. Here’s a look back at three of the series’ best moments with the final episodes set to air Sunday.
With some countries easing COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, live sports are slowly creeping back onto TV. What’s kept sports fans sane during this hiatus is ESPN’s “The Last Dance” docuseries about the championship run of the1998 Chicago Bulls and what led them to that moment.
The highly entertaining 10-part series became appointment viewing on Sunday nights the moment it was released. Fans take to Twitter every weekend to give their thoughts and make memes from moments in the show.
With two episodes airing each Sunday, there was plenty to talk about. After just under a month, the final episodes in the series are set to air Sunday night. The time has flown by, and it’s been an enthralling look at the Bulls teams of old.
For NBA fans, this is a much-needed look back at one of the greatest dynasties of all time. It’s also been an opportunity for older fans to show the greatness of Michael Jordan to a new generation. There will always be a debate on Jordan vs. Lebron James, but this may help change some minds.
That debate will never die, but this series does offer a lot of great insight into how Jordan really functioned as a top-level athlete and teammate. It may not always be pretty, but it sure is entertaining.
