It’s time for the Day (or Night) of the Living Ales, a chance to sample LOTS of beer served from firkins, steelies and kegs. Get in some early parade watching and drinking ahead of the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. And releases for International Women’s Day from women brewers.
A week or so ago, the North Side cider mecca The Northman announced it had been sold. The new owners, who ran the previous Bohemian House restaurant, have quickly rebranded the space as “Cobblestone.” The intent is to keep most of the favorite entrees from the Northman, but the new chef will be bringing in more bistro fare. The focus will remain on cider, however. The new Cobblestone is at 4337 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago. Details in this Chicago Tribune article by Louisa Chu.
