The Chicago Cubs entered the 8th inning with a 3-2 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brew Crew went into the game already clinched so they are just playing to get ready for the postseason now. The Cubs won’t be in the playoffs so they are playing for future jobs right now. One player who is looking for a long-term job is Patrick Wisdom.
Wisdom went into the game with 26 home runs. That mark is tied for the most home runs by a rookie in the long storied history of the Chicago Cubs. That was set by Kris Bryant in 2015. On Sunday, Wisdom broke the record by hitting his 27th of the season. It came in Milwaukee where the Cubs were playing their biggest rival.
