Chicago Post-St. Pat Craft Beer Weekend, March 19-21
Well, I thought I had the issues fixed with linking to my calendar app, but as it turns out, the new settings only work in certain browsers, and not on mobile devices. So I’m back to a “hard” version of the listing. Feel free to check for updates at my calendar app. I suppose I’ll have to live with this for a while until I can find a solution.

Loteria #13 – El Mate Pickup
5 Rabbit Cerveceria, 6398 W. 74th St., Bedford Park, IL (312) 895-9591 Map
El Mate (Loteria #13), a barrel-aged sour blended with our very own Argentine yerba mate blend as well as with 5 Rabbit honey, is now available.
This beer is tea-like and refreshing with a hint of marjoram herb. It has hints of sweetness and a dry, earthy finish. We focused on the Southern Cone, specifically Argentina, when we brewed this beer with the traditional South American caffeine rich infused drink
Mate is an infusion prepared with the yerba mate plant (ilex paraguariensis) a tree that abundantly grows in Argentina, Brasil, and Paraguay. It is a treasure for these countries. When we asked friends from Argentina why mate is so important to them, they always mentioned pride of their country, tradition, culture, passed on from generation to generation. It means sharing, an invitation to dialogue and is so versatile, it can be sipped on throughout the day and even at night.
This beer is currently available for pre-sale at our website for $25. This price includes an 8oz jar of our 5Rabbit honey produced by the wonderful and happy bees living at the brewery. Pick-up is scheduled for Saturday 03/20/21.
