It’s a busy weekend, and here’s a schedule that I may still be updating as we get closer to the weekend but first…

If you missed out on the lottery for Goose Island’s Bourbon County Proprietor’s Stout allotments, Binny’s Beverage Depot offers another chance. They are now taking registrations for a chance to snag one of two BCS packages. There’s a Reserve Allocation with all eight 2021 varietals, including two Prop bottles, for $259.99, or a Classic Allocation with two original BCS, one Prop, and three other varietals. Registration runs through November 8. Entrants can choose the store where they’ll pick up their allotment, and winners’ allotments will be held until December 3.

Also, Friday October 30 at 10 am is when FoBAB To Go 6-packs go on sale. Each pack will contain a random assortment of beers entered at the Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer, November 12 & 13 at Credit Union 1 Arena, 525 S Racine Ave. Purchases will be available at the FoBAB web site. The price is $60 plus fees, and beers can be picked up at the arena the weekend of November 12-14.

We have yet another new brewery opening this weekend as well. Double Clutch throws open its doors in Evanston. Still more openings that we’ll get to next week!

The darkness continues with Dark Water Imperial Black IPA, Dark Helmet Schwarzbier, and several other dark beers on tap and in cans to-go.

Spooky Scary Skeletons is the name of the game for this Socially Distant Beer Yoga Class! Bring your Halloween best or just your ghoulish smiling self and enjoy an outdoor yoga sesh, Then wander inside for an ice cold pint of Buckledown’s finest! (Hard Cider and other options available for our gluten free friends!) Participants will be asked to spread out or stay within their pods at an appropriate social distance from others.
