Just got back from vacation Sunday, and compiling the events for this week. Will have a few news items in my next calendar listing.

The big “SKB Strong” fundraiser for Skeleton Key Brewery takes place Monday. And Skeleton Key has cleared away enough tornado debris to have some drive-up canned beer releases at its Woodridge location.

Monday, July 26

As many of you are aware, Skeleton Key Brewery was hit by a tornado on June 20th. While no one was inside and everyone is safe, the storm destroyed both taprooms. This is leaving SKB without a home or taproom.
We here at Miskatonic knew we had to step up. We have partnered with local breweries, musicians, and vendors to do our part. 
Miskatonic will be hosting a Relief Benefits on July 26th. Proceeds will go directly too SKB.
JD Kostyk has called up The Nonessentials to help put on an amazing set and keep the energy going. There are a total of 10 bands on two stages.
Burn’n Bull will be serving food starting at 4 to fill your bellies. There will 12 beers on tap including several guest beers.
We will be taking donations for a raffle. Please email our Taproom Manager Paul if interested. His email is paul@miskatonicbrewing.com.

We’ve got a brand-new Hazy IPA, Citrus Mountain, headed into cans on July 28, and it will be available in 4-packs for purchase that evening at Skeleton Key, from 5-7pm. Please park and then walk up to purchase. We hope to set up out front, but if we’re not there, head around back!

The Ravenswood community comes together for the 3rd Annual ‘Malt Row on Damen’ craft beer stroll on Wednesday, July 28, from 5:30-8:30 pm. The Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce partners together with Malt Row breweries and distilleries to give Chicagoans a taste of what Malt Row has to offer at local shops and restaurants along Damen Avenue!
Fun fact: all the beer produced at Malt Row on Damen comes from within 1 mile of the event!
Located along Damen Avenue between Leland and Argyle, strollers will enjoy a diverse selection of beer tastings while visiting a variety of local small businesses. Participating breweries and distilleries include Begyle Brewing Co., Empirical Brewery, Gnome Brew, KOVAL Distillery, Smylie Brothers Brewing Co., and Urban Brew Labs.
Besides the breweries, additional Ravenswood businesses participating in the stroll include Amy’s Candy Bar, Bon Femmes, District, Mint Home, Noble Coyote, Ponnopozz, Ravensgoods, and more! Once strollers have finished exploring, they can visit the Ravenswood Farmers Market for an evening with live music, fresh food, and a plethora of special guest vendors. Tickets are $30 and include at least 8 five-ounce tasting pours, a Malt Row tasting glass, coozie/lanyard combo, and a swag bag with neighborhood goodies.
