Duchess is a beautiful and sweet 15-year-old, female, golden-eyed black cat looking for a loving guardian.
Duchess was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control when her former owner dropped her off to be euthanized due to her age.
However, she is surprisingly youthful, likes to play, eat and uses her litter box perfectly. She has all her claws but is not destructive. She has always lived as the only pet in the home, so she will probably be happiest in that situation.
Duchess is a very healthy senior; spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and virus-tested negative. She has had a full senior blood work-up and everything is perfectly normal.
Her adoption fee of $100 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits.
To meet and possibly adopt Duchess, please contact friendsofpetraits@gmail.com for an adoption application and to schedule an appointment.
She is currently being fostered in Chicago.
