Emmy Award-winning actor and R&B singer/ songwriter Rome Flynn released his new single “Keep Me In Mind” this month. Flynn made his mark on both the small and big screen with acting credits such as ABC’s highly successful Emmy Award-winning drama series “How To Get Away With Murder,” “Madea’s Family Funeral,” CBS’s daytime drama “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and Lionsgate’s “The Haves and the Have Nots.”
“Keep Me In Mind” was written by Rome Flynn and produced by Ye Ali (Chris Brown, Joyner Lucas), Bizness Boi (PartyNextDoor, Jessie Reyez, Wale), Fortune & Keyanos. Rome showcases his melodic, smooth vocals as he assures women to consider him, instead of their current problematic lover.
No stranger to the music scene, Rome says music has always been his first love and a part of his life since he was a kid. While he won’t be leaving his burgeoning acting behind, Rome is carving out his own lane as the ‘next R&B artist to watch.’
In 2019, the Chicago-bred, Afro-Cuban actor and model began his transition into music with the debut of his song, “Brand New.” He sings about the difficulty in letting go of a past lover who has moved into a new relationship. The song has since been featured in Hot New Hip Hop and Respect Magazine called it the “perfect combination for any breakout R&B artist.”
For #MusicMonday, Rome stepped out of the studio and did a Quarantine Q&A with Nekia Nichelle to discuss his new EP that’s going to be released later this year.
