“What do you have to lose?”

With Donald Trump as Potus, it’s always something. Whenever you think you’re going to get a break from his craziness, he comes up with something new. You have to give it up to him because he’ll always give you something to talk or write about….
Every. Single. DAY!!!

Monday was hydroxychloroquine. OY!!!

Don let the world know he’s been taking the drug to keep the coronavirus away. “A couple of weeks ago, I started taking it.”
Don said he’s been getting it from a White House physician. When asked why he would take something that the FDA says has major side effects, he said:
“Here’s my evidence: I get a lot of positive calls about it.”

Probably from people who have stock in the company that makes the drug, like Trump.

Not everyone is as big a fan of hydroxychloroquine as the president. It took Neil Cavuto of Fox News…that’s right Fox News…only a couple of minutes to respond:

“A VA study showed that among a population in a hospital receiving this treatment, those with vulnerable conditions — respiratory conditions, heart ailments — they died. I want to stress again: They died. If you are in a risky population here, and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus or in a worst case scenario you are dealing with the virus, and you are in this vulnerable population, it will kill you. I cannot stress enough: This will kill you.”

When Nancy Pelosi heard about this, she was concerned for the Trump’s health:

“I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group, morbidly obese, they say. So I think it’s not a good idea.”

It’s comforting to hear that Nan cares about Don and his health. I care, too. I care about all his supporters who will hear about this and think if the President is taking this drug, it must be safe. It must really ward off the virus.

You’re going to have a lot of dead MAGATs!

I’m sure most of you are thinking that Trump really isn’t taking hydroxychloroquine. He’s lying about this just like his other twenty thousand lies over the last three-plus years. Yeah, you’re probably right. But I hope he’s not. I really hope this is one time he’s telling us the truth. I have two reasons for this:

a. There’s a small ummm minuscule chance that this drug works. Maybe it’s the miracle drug that keeps us safe from coronavirus. You have to admit that would be a great thing. Think how many lives worldwide would be saved. Yeah, it would most likely get him reelected, but better that than another couple hundred thousand people die…I guess. I reserve the right to change that opinion in November.
b. Maybe it proves that the scientists are correct and the drug is useless and harmful. Who’s a better test case than Donald J. Trump?

Either way works for me. It’s a win/win! Hey Donald, what do you have to lose? Do you think President Mike Pence will lower the flags to half staff?
