I just tried distracting myself by working on a post about this song — and it had to come down because the post was early.

But this version of the song “I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)” by Caledon, Scotland’s tenors, cheers me up so much — and it’s so evocative of being so far away — that I couldn’t resist sharing the song anyway. The longer post inspired by it will follow in its time.
