Once rain, nor snow, nor other barriers
Could stop the USPS carriers.
But now an existential threat
Appears more powerful than any met:
The President is its archfoe
And has decided it must go.
I’d miss it like all other gramps
Who’ve through the years collected stamps.
When our nation had begun it
Ben Franklin was the first to run it.
So let us hope that in Ben’s name
Our mail delivery stays the same.
