The 2021-22 season started off poorly for the organization as a whole both on and off the ice. Toews took a long time to get his skating legs under him and start producing offensively once the season began. It took a very long time for him to even score his first goal as it didn’t come until December.

Toews now has 3 goals and 10 assists for 13 points in 30 games. He isn’t the point per game player anymore but he needs to score more goals. If gets his shooting percentage back to an average number, his overall numbers will be much better.

The Chicago Blackhawks need more from Jonathan Toews in the year 2022.

2022 is going to be a big year for Toews. The Blackhawks kick off the calendar year with a game on January 1st against the Nashville Predators. It is a chance for Toews to hit the reset button and forget about any of the struggles that he and his team have gone through up to this point.

One thing that Toews has always displayed is leadership on the ice. No matter how tough things may get, you will always get full effort from the captain. Showing this again in 2022 is something for him to do so he can set an example for the younger players.

By the time we reach 2023, you can expect to be looking back on an outstanding bounce-back year for him. The goals are going to start coming in bunches and his playmaking will continue to stay steady. With some of the great wingers that he has a chance to play with, things are going to be okay.

The Blackhawks need Toews at the top of his game in order to win games. As mentioned before, he has done that for most of his career. We don’t know if he will finish with the Hawks but he is there now so they need him going well. When his career is all said and done, he will be in the Hall of Fame.
