Tom Brady did his fair share of damage against the Chicago BearsVincent Pariseon February 2, 2022 at 1:00 pm

The Chicago Bears have played against some really good players over the years. None have been better than Tom Brady who spent 20 years with the New England Patriots and two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It has been an incredible ride for all football fans.

On Saturday, it started to come out that Tom Brady was retiring from the NFL. Then, it became unclear after contradicting reports throughout the league. However, Tom came out on social media on Tuesday to make the announcement himself. His outstanding 22-year career is now over.

Brady will go down as the greatest football player who ever lived. You can even argue that he is the greatest team sports athlete of all time. He has accumulated seven Super Bowl titles, five Super Bowl MVPs, three league MVPs, and 15 Pro Bowls. He did nothing but win big game after big game playing the most impactful position in all of sports.

Tom did his fair share of damage against the Chicago Bears over the 22 years. He was dominant against pretty much everyone but he certainly had his successes against the Bears. He started against them seven times and went 6-1.

In those seven games, he completed 67.03 percent of his passes which led to 19 touchdowns and four interceptions. All of that amassed to 2059 yards passing (34 total yards rushing). It is clear how he managed to go 6-1 against them.

Tom Brady was magnificent against the Chicago Bears in his 7 games against them.

Of course, the one loss came in 2020 when the Bears beat him in his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That was the best thing that happened to the Bucs because they learned from that and rode it all the way to the Super Bowl where they would win it.

It is officially a new era for the National Football League as now Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Eli Manning, Phillip Rivers, Drew Brees, and Ben Roethlisberger are all retired. It is time for the new guard to completely take over and dominate the league.

That could be good news for the Chicago Bears. The top two teams in the NFC for 2021, the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, might both be losing their star quarterbacks. Aaron Rodgers, as you probably know, could be leaving Green Bay.

If that is true, and Russell Wilson gets traded away from the Seattle Seahawks, the Los Angeles Rams would be the only team left that has an elite coach/quarterback combo. This would be a great time for Ryan Poles, Matt Eberflus, and Justin Fields to get it together.
