True To The Game 3 Actress Erica Peeples Hints At Possibly TTTG4
Erica Peeples is an actress, poet, DJ and producer who has been exploring her passion for acting and the arts since she was a young girl growing up in Mount Clemens, Michigan. From taking intensive workshops at Macomb College, to earning a coveted slot in the Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit as a pre-teen, Erica began her dedicated acting career early on, going on to attend Julliard. After finishing the prestigious program, Erica starred in several beloved off-Broadway regional productions, including Joe Turner’s Come and Gone (by August Wilson), A Raisin in the Sun and Piano Lesson.
Once she made her television debut on an episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Erica moved to Los Angeles where she landed her breakout role in 2016, starring in the feature film True to the Game alongside likes of Columbus Short, Vivica Fox, Draya Michelle, and Nelsan Ellis. Following her major theatrical debut, Erica has since gone on to work on a variety of productions, including appearing on an episode on Bounce’s Family Time and landing roles on Fall Girls (BET Originals), the feature Gully. Erica is currently heavily recurring on the CW’s All American. She is known for major role in the trilogy to the mega hit BET/Netflix film True to the Game.
True To The Game 3, hit theaters nationwide on Friday, December 3rd. It’s the third installment in the True To The Game series, based on the original New York Times bestseller by Teri Woods, stars Columbus Short, Vivica A. Fox, Erica Peeples, Niatia “Lil Mama” Kirkland, Kris Lofton, Jeremy Meeks, Iyana Halley, Darius McCrary and Starletta DuPois.
True To The Game 3 has been coined the most explosive installment of the trilogy. If you’ve been keeping up with the film, then you’ll be happy to know that the drama picks up right where True 2 left off. Not to give too much away but you can expect Gena (Erica Peeples) finding out that her mysterious savior is actually Quadir (Columbus Short), whom she thought was dead. But this time around, the stakes are at an all-time high as the streets are scorching hot and Gena has to face some obstacles while trying to stay “true to the game”.
In this in-depth interview Erica talks about growing up in the Midwest, her acting career and hints at a True To The Game 4 coming out. Press play to watch.
