Go Do Good!

WHAT DO YOU DO? WHAT DO YOU DO?

What do you do when you run into the people in BLUE?

If you’re WHITE, you relax and seek a PASS with a smile and a FLASH

Of pearly whites or maybe a curvaceous décolletage if you’re so endowed.

But what do you do if the melatonin in your skin is more than the people in

BLUE?

You put your hands at ten and two

and reply deferentially…

Yes sir, no sir, whatever you say sir, and while we’re at it, may I shine your shoes, sir?

And if necessary, let me put my hands up and plead, “PLEASE – Don’t shoot sir.”

Whatever you think I did, I doubt it deserves my execution today – do you?

If it’s a light, I’ll get it fixed because our encounter need not turn into a fight

or a HANGING BEE, employed so often in the Land of Jim Crowe.

I’m a son, a brother, a husband, and a dad, and we need not get mad or bad in our quest for both of us to

GO DO GOOD.

So, can we work this out without a loss of life? I’d feel a whole lot better and I’ll bet after what

America’s been through, you will too!
